Board of Directors

Guillaume Borrel
Guillaume Borrel has over 25 years of industry experience. He began his career as a Wireline Field Engineer with SLB and went on to hold international roles across operations, sales, manufacturing, and technology development. He has served in senior leadership positions including Vice President of Marketing & Technology and Vice President of Production Services. Most recently, Guillaume was the CEO of Lithium de France, a new energy company leveraging technology innovation in the energy transition space. Guillaume is a graduate of École Polytechnique (Paris).

David MacNeill
David MacNeill is an engineering graduate of NSCC and has had a distinguished Oil and Gas career spanning over 3 decades. Starting as an engineer at SLB, Dave built a solid leadership pedigree before moving to NOV as VP of operations in Africa. Dave also led the acquisition and subsequent public listing of Logan International as CEO, was the founder and CEO of Wellbore Integrity Solutions and is currently a board advisor to several oilfield technology ventures.

Mike Reed
Michael Reed is a seasoned financial leader with over 30 years of Oil and Gas experience. A Rice University graduate and CPA, Mike began his career as a PWC auditor, before moving into the energy industry with leading roles in NOV, Wood Group, ASRC and HDI. Mike’s experience in roles as CEO and CFO includes capital raises, Investor Relations and M&A, together with serving on the boards of private and public ventures.

Kevin Colby
Kevin has served as the General counsel for GOWell since 2013. He began his career in New York with positions in notable law firms such as Paul Weiss and Dewey Ballantine and, later in Houston, at Fulbright & Jaworski, before moving into industry with roles in HCC Insurance Holdings (now, Tokio Marine), Worley Parsons and Parker Drilling. Kevin’s experience ranges from domestic and international corporate and commercial transactions, compliance and risk management, M&A, Securities and corporate governance. Originally from Brazil, Kevin holds a JD from Fordham University and an MA from Hunter College.

Marvin Rourke
Marvin Rourke began his career with Halliburton Logging Services (formerly Gearhart Industries), where he held a variety of operational, technical, and management roles across global locations for over 23 years. Since joining GOWell, he has been instrumental in the development and commercialization of innovative technologies, with a particular focus on bridging the gap between technical innovation and commercial application. With more than 37 years of experience in wireline services, Marvin has authored or co-authored over 25 technical papers and was honored as a Distinguished Speaker by the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) in 2015. He holds a degree from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.

Qinshan Yang
With over 22 years of R&D experience in the oil and gas industry, Dr. QinShan Yang has held key technical and leadership roles at SLB, CNPC, and the UT Austin. Since joining GOWell in 2014, he has led multidisciplinary teams in developing next-generation solutions and driving innovation across many of GOWell’s core technologies. Dr. Yang earned his doctorate from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Chris Morgan
Chris spent over 20 years with Baker Hughes Wireline Services in a variety of international roles including operations, sales, technology and leadership. Before joining GOWell, Chris also served in leadership positions at Impact Selector and Probe Technologies, prior to both companies purchase by Weatherford. Originally from Wales, Chris is a graduate of the universities of Manchester and Aberdeen in the UK.
